OK, so here’s how it goes:

(1) Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves

(2) People who are tagged need to write a post on their own blog (about their eight things) and post these rules.

(3) At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
(4) Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

OK, so in no particular order, here’s my Crazy 8 list of random, crazy things about me:
 
1] Coffee: Despite my GERD, I insist on making a full pot of coffee every morning, knowing I will not be drinking more than a cup.  In fact, I can’t have more than a few sips out of one cup before I get a bit sick to my stomach and have to wait a while til I can have the next one, by which time the coffee’s gotten cold so I have to pour out that cup and make a new one.  I know it is going to make me sick, I know I’m never going to drink a pot and yet I must have the brew every morning or the day is just utterly thrown out of whack for me.  
 
2]  Tags:  I cannot stand to see a manufacturer’s tag sticking up or out of a piece of material.  I’ve rehung towels, gone up to perfect strangers and pretended to know them so I could ’pat their back’ and tuck their tag in the back of their shirt, tucked tags in clothes in stores.  My mania knows no bounds.  Amazing I’ve never been diagnosed OCD, isn’t it?
 
3]  Especially since I have this sick thing with toilet paper rolls.  They MUST go over, not under.  I actually become livid whenever Emmy changes ours, because she’s a lefty and she under’s the TP.  Her being a lefty is the only reason I can give for it, no one else in the  house does it that way…but I’m a lefty, and I do it correctly.  WTH???  And yes, of course I fix other people’s TP if they do it wrong when I visit them.  It’s my duty to straighten it out for them, isn’t it?  I’ve given up on Emily in that capacity.
 
4]  I pick up other people’s dialects and cadence in speech easily, too easily sometimes.  I’ve been accused of making fun of others, when really it is just this awful ability I have to take on other’s speech patterns.  I don’t mean to do it a lot of the time, I think it’s part of the whole empath thing.  You should hear me after I’ve spent a day with my relatives from Chicago or California, the neighbors here all look at me like I’m insane-r when I greet them.
 
5]  I’ve beaten the Bosses and the Levels at Crash Bandicoot and the Wrath of Cortex.  I’m on 68% and I have 42 crystals now.  I’ve also gotten 14 of the time trials.  Katie only has 52%.  Neener, neener, and hell yeah, it’s a competition.
 
6]  I’d rather clean the toilet and scrub floors than clean the bathtub.  I make the kids do it.  I don’t know why, we’re not a dirty family, it’s not a hard job.  I just refuse to do it.
 
7]  I still scream really naughty things out the window at least once every two weeks just to make Mike nuts.  It’s even more fun now since our neighbor is a nice old lady, that sends him through the roof worrying what she thinks, like she can hear me?
 
8]  The smell of ground beef makes me ill.  That makes cooking a little tough, but hey, it’s my job.  Life ain’t for the squeamish.
 
For a crazy person, this list was harder than I thought it’d be!

Random things about me

I borrowed this from Rebecca of Escape for a second, it is one of the few of these I liked. 
 
1. The phone rings. Who do you want it to be?
Someone telling me I won something, tax free

2. When shopping at the grocery store, do you return your cart?
Yes, Jessica always nagged me into it and now it’s habit

3. In a social setting, are you more of a talker or a listener?
Listener

4. Do you take compliments well?
Not really, though I’m learning.  I usually say "I’m glad you think so, thank you."

5. Do you play Sudoku?
Not at all

6. If abandoned alone in the wilderness, would you survive?
Oh yes.  I’d have a hut with a sauna and open a grocery store by the time I was finished.

7. What song are you listening to?
Not listening to music right now, the girls are watching the America’s Next Top Model marathon

8. Did you ever go to camp as a kid?
Yes…Camp Curry, a conservation camp and 4-H camp.  I loved going to camp

9. What was your favorite game as a kid?
Hide and seek

10. If a sexy person was pursuing you, but you knew he/she was married, would you?
No

12. Could you date someone with different religious beliefs than you?
Yes

13. Do you like to pursue or be pursued?
Both

14. Use three words to describe yourself.
Learning, stubborn, sleepy

15. Do any songs make you cry?
Yes. lots

16. Are you continuing your education?
Every minute of every day

17. Do you know how to shoot a gun?
Yes…I grew up learning to shoot, and even got to use a machine gun a few times…talk about a RUSH!

My kids

19. How often do you read books?
All the time, every day

20. Do you think more about the past, present or future?
I am working on concentrating on the present, I have a bad habit of worrying about the future

21. What is your favorite children’s book?
The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein and I Love You Forever

22.What color are your eyes?
Blue

23. How tall are you?
5’3

24. Where is your dream house located?
In the country on a farm, lots of trees and a stream nearby

27. Have you ever taken pictures in a photo booth?
yes

28. When was the last time you were at Olive Garden?
Been a long time, I don’t care for it really

30. Where was the furthest place you traveled today?
28 miles

32. Do you like mustard?
Honey mustard, yes.  Plain mustard, ewww

33. Do you prefer to sleep or eat?
Sleep, please?

34. Do you look like your mom or dad?
Mom, but I have most of my Dad’s features, as strange as that is

35. How long does it take you in the shower?
15 minutes or so

36. Can you do the splits?
Yeah, but it hurts

Played cards with the girls

42. Do you own a camera phone?
No, nor a cell phone…I’m a Luddite as much as I can be

No. *laughing HARD at that one*

46. How many hours of sleep do you get at night?
4-6

48. Do you like care bears?
No, especially the electronic ones…we have six right now…GRRRR

Popcorn and soda

Not only do I know how to play, I’m really good at it

Yes

52. What do you wear to sleep?
Flannel men’s pajama bottoms and a tshirt…too many kids come to our room in the middle of the night to be sleeping in provocative stuff…that’s for earlier

53. Anything big ever happen in your hometown?
Yes…Civil War battles fought here, 3 people who made it big in entertainment and such from my old hometown, if that’s considered ‘big’

54. How many meals do you eat a day?
1 or 2

56. Do you always read MySpace bulletins?
No, but I read the ones from certain people any time they post

58. Do you like funny or serious people better?
Serious people, but they have to have a sense of humor

59. Ever been to L.A.?
No

60. Did you eat a cookie today?
No, not a cookie fan.

61. Do you use cuss words in other languages?
Yeah, I thought I was in the minority on that one

62. Do you steal or pay for your music downloads?
I only download music that’s given away, so neither

63. Do you hate chocolate?
I’m pretty indifferent to chocolate

64. What do you and your parents fight about the most?
Gay rights.  That’s the only thing, we don’t fight unless one of them says something rude or ignorant and then I speak up


65. Are you a gullible person?
No

66. Do you need a boyfriend/girlfriend to be happy?
No

67. If you could have any job (assuming you have the skills) what would it be?
Writer, some day

68. Are you easy to get along with?
No, I’m tough on people

So Six MORE Weird Things? Monday December 11, 2006

I’m Gettin’ Nothin’ For Christmas 
let’s sing it  *grin*
 
1)  Let’s see…I have daughters 18 years apart, daughters 10 years apart, and daughters 8 years apart.  Figger that out.
 
2)  I still torture stuffed animals in the basement.  It helps me and they haven’t once complained…except for that poor little lamby that I didn’t realize said the "Now I lay me down to sleep…" prayer when I stuck a wedge in his little fuzzy innards to pull out the gunk.  I didn’t know, and at least he went having made his peace with God, right?
 
3)  I can’t *stand* anyone in my cabinets, fridge or drawers arranging stuff.  We can bring home 30 bags of groceries, and I’d just as soon they were all left in the kitchen and everyone SCAT!  I have a system.  Do not dink with the system.
 
4)  I can’t pronounce lightning, cinnamon or conundrum correctly.  It’s sad to even hear.  No Sis, I will not perform for you when you call.
 
5)  I really, really, really don’t give a flip what other people think of me.  I didn’t realize this was weird until I got around other people who became embarassed because kids acted silly in a store, or I joined in too and other people blushed *for* me.  Oh, good grief, lighten up!  Have FUN…most of you only live once.
 
6)  I have a macabre sense of humor sometimes.  There wasn’t really a little lamby death.  No bleated "Now I lay me down to sleep…" final death prayer before evisceration.  I’ve just got a sick sense of humor.
 
 
I think this has been to everyone….but CAS of course….he rarely takes on a tag…lets see if he will…
